Lore

A bubbly, lively young woman who is the Assistant Librarian of the Knights of Favonius. She is worthy enough to be the apprentice of the Witch of Purple Rose and a former Amurta Herbad of the Akademiya. She stands out as the friendly, extroverted person who can brighten the gloomiest people, despite what had happened to her throughout her life. Though life tends to be unfair to her, she will not go down without a fight.

- Description from the Official Website

Personality[]

The Assistant Librarian of the Knights of Favonius. Contrary to her master, her extroverted, hardworking demeanor shines bright like a yellow flower amongst the sea of flowers.

- In-game character attributes and profile page text

Mirasol is often described as having a "happy-go-lucky" personality with a dash of elegance, corroborated by her sweet, somewhat whimsical voice. This is a trait that she shared with her mother, Rosa von Schöngarten. She is well-known in the Knights of Favonius as a "social butterfly", meaning she can get along with everyone as she pleases. It explains the abundance of voicelines about people that she met in her life. Close friends will eventually see an affectionate side of Mira, such as Brisa and Joseph, though the latter annoyed her with his "recently-developed" sense of forgetfulness.

Sometimes, the closest people in her life, like Lisa, Jean, Luna Zaniah, Joseph and so on, also sees a sentimental, wistful side of Mira as she sometimes longs about her past trials and tribulations, particularly her father's disappearance and her mother's sudden death. No one else sees this side of Mira as it all happened in closed doors and she was initially very defensive when it is brought up, but she has her loved ones to keep her company.

However, she also shares the temper gradient of her master, Lisa. She rarely gets angry at people, but when she starts, it is almost impossible to stop until she either punishes the offending person, as seen in her fight against an Abyss Mage during A Sunflower Shall Face the Sun.

Unlike her master, however, she tries hard to maintain the library as the Assistant Librarian, and the day-to-day running of the Library as the Acting Librarian when Lisa is not available. Contrary to Lisa's ways of punishment for late returns, she is more lenient to the late returnees as she puts up a "three strike rule" on them and will punish offenders like her master did if they hit the third strike, much to the mild annoyance to the disciplinarian Librarian.

She enjoys making and cooking Pumpkin Pies, as it was her childhood treat whenever her father returned from his adventures, and she noted that the taste is very nostalgic to her. She also suffers from an extreme case of cold intolerance both because of her physique and because of her harsh late childhood which hampered her resistance to the cold. As a result, she cannot eat anything cold except for cold drinks. Freya notes that Mirasol's complete lack of cold resistance has something to do with her "peculiar" Dendro Vision, as she was seemingly unaffected by the searing heat of the Mare Jivari.

Appearance[]

Mirasol is a young woman with wavy, brown hair, heterochromatic brown and purple eyes, and light brown skin.

Character Details

The Knights of Favonius Library is the home of Mondstadt’s most curious minds, ranging from children to fully grown adults.

Many books to choose from, vast space ideal for the reader’s comfort, quiet ambience from flipping pages and writing pens; everything that an avid reader wants.

However, one person was keeping some of them away from the library: the Librarian herself.

They find her so terrifying that she distracts them from the optimal reading experience, especially those who tried returning a book late before.

In the off days when the Librarian is either away from Mondstadt or called in sick, someone has to do her tasks on her behalf. And this is where her long-time apprentice, Mirasol, steps in.

Readers could feel the atmosphere turning into a midsummer morning when she enters the door, serving as the balance to the stormy one her master always brings.

Late returnees let out a sigh of relief as they knew they are safe from getting the standard shock treatment for now as long as they don’t do it again once the Librarian returns.

“It may not be standard procedure for the library, but whatever makes the patrons comfortable…,” Mirasol thought.

Once she sits down on the Librarian’s chair with her master’s list of tasks in her hand, the Assistant Librarian’s day as the Acting Librarian can begin.

Character Story 1

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 2

Mirasol is widely known in Mondstadt as the apprentice of the brilliant yet languid Witch of Purple Rose.

People had doubts towards her when she was first taken in under her wing, but Lisa saw something in her that the clueless audience didn’t.

During her first years as the Assistant Librarian, Mirasol was often a participant in her master’s afternoon tea parties. However, for her, the term has two different meanings.

The first is what others presume afternoon tea was like: a relaxing session with food and copious amounts of tea while they are chatting about various topics they happen to pop up in their minds.

The second is more geared towards her as Lisa’s apprentice. It was her training sessions; a proving ground to improve her control of the power granted by her Vision.

Lisa would teach Mira specialized techniques she uses often and let her beloved apprentice practice it to see if she could nail the spell and do so repeatedly

Sometimes, it went smoothly with no interruption. Other times – more accurately, most of the time, she struggled to take a grasp on the fundamentals in performing the steps to cast it. One time, when Mirasol tried to perform her version of “Lightning Touch,” one of Lisa’s most used spells, it ended up blowing up on her face, pushing her back into an apple tree.

Worried sick, Lisa checked up on her to ensure she was okay. Mirasol responded with a thumbs up, and gave her master words of reassurance.

“I-I’m fine! There’ll be no satisfaction in success without failure, right? *giggle* That’s what you taught me, Master.”

This unwillingness to never give up brings sunlight to what Lisa sees in her when she met her; the burning idealism that she can perform any spell she was taught if she tries hard enough, even if she gets hurt in the process.

People say that it takes a lot to impress the Witch of Purple Rose, but if there is one person who can do so, it would be her apprentice: the energetic Sunflower Witch.

Character Story 2

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 3

Outside of her work in the Library, Mirasol owns a flower garden which she affectionately named the “Seven Rays of the Sun” serving the people living in Dornman Port.

It is, in essence, a flower shop with many endemic flowers from all over Teyvat for people to buy as souvenirs or decoration, much like the Floral Whisper back in the city. It also provides delivery services for those within and out of the harbor.

Though she rarely visits the garden due to her busy schedule, she always makes sure to check the shop when an open timeslot is available.

Little do most people know is that its current location was once a branch to another floral business owned by her family, which many consider the flower garden’s spiritual predecessor.

Mirasol found out about it when reading through a book lying around her residence titled the “Children of the Beautiful Garden.”

The book stated that “one thousand years ago, the lavender’s five children founded the Blühendes Streben to help gather income for their lives in post-Aristocratic Mondstadt. Success soon followed and it allowed the business to expand, eventually reaching other towns within Mondstadt. It lasted for a millennium, but poor business decisions and tight competition forced the family to close down the company.”

Determined by this, along with her innate interest in flowers, Mirasol is ready to take on the challenge of running a newly operating business.

For its first few months in business, it struggled to find customers; no one was buying their products. At that point, Mira had to take a cut out of her salary just to keep it afloat.

Her employees doubted her ability to handle such scenarios, but she devised a plan that puts investment on their advertising and hosting face-to-face botanic lectures, much to the style of one of her former colleagues at the Akademiya.

With Mirasol personally involved as a lecturer and with her employees’ creativity, her plan became very successful, as more and more people are buying their exotic flowers like a full bloom in the middle of spring. Now that her company has found stable ground, she can now lay down her arms and trust her venture to her diligent and trusted artisans.

A new adventure into the unknown comes new challenges to overcome, and running a new business is no different. Frustration and divisive times will always be there to test the might of any person.

However, if traversing the unknown means honoring her ancestors by reviving a lost business they once owned, then it is an adventure worth retelling.

Character Story 3

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 4

Thanks to her tenure in the Akademiya as one of the prestigious Amurta Herbads, Mirasol's knowledge regarding botany is second-to-none compared to her peers.

When she is present in the Library, readers often ask her book recommendations and questions regarding plants. Sometimes, she would give practical advice and demonstrations about taking care of them.

However, her Akademiya journey was never smooth sailing, especially when her master was vocally against its philosophies. Luckily, she managed to convince her to study there as part of the Amurta Darshan.

But as it was in life, when one obstacle is done, three more would appear in front of her.

One, she has to meet new people in an unfamiliar place. Two, she has to acclimate to the rainforest and the desert. And three, she has to face the harsh reality of being an Akademiya student.

Due to Mirasol's overly friendly nature, people tend to either take advantage of her cooperative character or outcast her for being a nuisance. In a place where scholars value their knowledge over social compatibility, Mirasol was deemed a troublemaker by most despite not causing any harm to others and even trying to stay out of their way.

However, some scholars don’t think that way, which is why when she met her closest scholar friend, Tighnari, she knew her journey became smoother from here on out.

Though there were many skeptics regarding their partnership, they proved them wrong by finishing their first and only research thesis together faster than any of their classmates, making them the first graduates of the batch.

When Tighnari left the Akademiya for the rainforest, Mirasol had to lead her team for her second thesis. Thanks to her charisma and stern leadership, it went through the reviewing process, making her a Dastur after only two years. Five approved theses later, she was being lauded to be the youngest Amurta Herbad in the Akademiya’s history.

However, her perception towards her alma mater slowly deteriorated the longer she studied there. Due to a multitude of reasons, she resigned from the Akademiya to go back home.

Nobody but the higher-ups knew what exactly made Mirasol leave the institution. Perhaps she knew something she wasn’t supposed to discover…

Character Story 4

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 5

It is a well-known fact that Mirasol always brings her complementary parasol with her.

She prefers the portability and versatility of the parasol over the flutteriness and bulkiness of the witch hat. Though she had trouble with wind in the past, she would rather have that than the alternative; chasing the hat being carried by the air.

Mira was always fond of the parasol since she was struggling to make end’s meet with her mother.

Due to the rain, the young child frequently got sick, putting a lot of strain on their already terrible situation. Using the little mora she had, her mother went to Liyue Harbor and bought a simple parasol for her daughter to shield them from the downpour.

She cherished the simple gift her mother gave all the way to the grave, as she left the world sometime after.

A few years later, she returned to Liyue once more to attend a performance from one of Liyue’s most brilliant opera singers: Yun Jin.

Mirasol got the opportunity to talk to the performer she admired after the performance, and they both got along very quickly due to their shared passion for music.

After conversing for a while, Yun Jin offered her to be an extra for her next performance in the coming days as the other person they once appointed to take the position fell ill, and they needed a quick replacement. Mirasol agrees to help her new friend out.

She then spent a few days learning the basics of Liyue Opera with Yun Jin. Though she may not do much during the play, it is still imperative to get a grip on the foundation of the art.

The day of the performance came, and it was a massive success. The audience loved the additions Mira made, adding to their immersion to the story.

As an act of gratitude, Yun Jin paid her 50,000 Mora for her hard work. However, Mira can tell that her friend in front of her has something else on her sleeve…

“Oh yes, almost forgot. Mira, follow me.”

When they arrived at the other side of the Feiyun Slope, Yun Jin gave her a box containing the gift. And when Mira opened it, it was a beautifully made parasol with a design inspired by the flower that bears her name.

“What do you think, Mira? It’s beautiful, isn’t it? I figured your umbrella needs a little rest given that’s been with you for years. I hired a parasolmacher to make this to your liking. I hope you accept this gift of mine—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Mirasol suddenly hugged Yun Jin, shedding tears of joy on her dress.

“I will remember your kindness, Yun Jin. Thank you…”

The parasol has been the symbol of protection and shelteredness since they were invented. However, symbols can change meaning, and for Mirasol, the parasol she holds in her hand symbolizes the friendships she made at her worst moments.

Character Story 5

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 6

To this day, Mirasol terribly misses her family.

The horrible fates her father and mother had suffered paved way for the worst years in her life.

She was never ready when the news broke about her father’s disappearance and assumed death.

She was 10 years old when it happened, kicked out of their own residence for not paying rent, then her mother died in her sleep when she was 12.

All of this, a child like her should not have experienced in such a short timeline, which made her repurchase of the family residence all the more sentimental and personal.

In some days, Mirasol was alone in her home while out of duty in the Library.

One day, Mirasol arose from a quick nap and ready to prepare for dinner. She was about to cook food, when she noticed that the table on her right is slightly dusty. So, she took a small cloth and started to wipe the table.

Then, she gets to the photo album sitting on it in between the two vases containing dying buttercup flowers since time immemorial. She stopped what she was doing and opened the book. As it turns out, most of the pictures within the album depict of a happy family she once had.

Every flick of the page leaves the girl in yellow even more misty-eyed along with every picture she saw.

Mira then noticed some missing spaces where a picture should be. She assumed that her father took them on his way to the ill-fated expedition, which agitated her a bit.

“Alright, Mira…calm down. Now’s not the time to be angry about the Guild just yet…”

After taking a breather and flicking even more pages within the album, Mirasol then saw a particular picture that struck her like an arrow to the heart.

A picture that depicts her mother, Rosa, carrying her child on her shoulders, with Alejandro smiling and seemingly following her along.

That encompassed how caring they were to Mira; how kind and how serious they are in terms of taking care of their only daughter.

With this in mind, the mist on Mirasol’s eyes has turned into raindrops falling across her face.

She cannot help herself but lament about the loss of her first friends; the first people she trusted.

However, she looks at the picture for the last time, and promised them that…

“I will make you two proud, Mom…Dad… I’ll make sure of that!”

By the time she said it, Luna Zaniah arrived to the residence to visit Mira, which one could argue to be at a worst possible time.

“Huh? Madame Mirasol, are you alright!?”

“Oh, me? I’m alright…just a little under the weather right now…”

Old Guitar

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 4

On days when boredom or distress consume Mirasol's mind, she brings out her visibly aged guitar to play while singing her emotions away.

Sometimes, it was rhythmic and jubilant. Sometimes, it’s soothing and peaceful. And in a few instances, filled with sorrow and longing.

Only a select few heard her sing with a guitar in her hands, as she often does it alone, if rarely at home. It's a way of relieving what causes her discomfort in a form of melody so as to slowly unravel what built up emotions that may have become rooted within her mind.

She learned to do this from her father in the heyday of her childhood. He was a very skilled guitarist and often busks in Mondstadt’s plaza when out of Adventurer duty.

Mira and her mother were often witnessing his performance within the crowd, and with each performance making her more inspired to be like him.

Delighted by his daughter’s enthusiasm towards the world of music, her father started to teach Mira his first guitar lesson. She couldn’t reach her hand to the guitar’s strings due to her small size at the time, so her father bought her a guitar that fits her.

At first, he struggled to get the grasp of the basics, corroborated by her guitar strings’ harshness against her sensitive fingertips, causing her to get blisters a few times.

But after three years of practice, she can hold a tune as well as any beginner would hope to do.

She could have kept on going, but her father’s sudden disappearance had put a dent on her motivation to play the guitar, along with what happened afterwards.

Nowadays, the guitar he once owned has earned a permanent place in the bedroom of the Von Schöngarten Residence. Mirasol managed to find it while rummaging through the Knights of Favonius’ storage room during the property’s repurchase.

Mira almost never had the time to reignite the passion she once had when she was a child. But when the time and setting calls for a performance, she will confidently pluck the strings once more.

Vision

Item Companionship EXP Friendship Lv. 6

The Sunflower Witch is cognizant about what it was like to be stripped of what she had and cherished in her childhood.

One day, her father went missing during an adventure to a dangerous unknown location. The next month, their family business was forced to shut down, and another two, their residence got repossessed, forcing them to wander around Teyvat.

On top of that, they were almost helpless in terms of defending themselves as they had little to no means to deter bad apples from taking advantage of them. Until one day…

Somewhere in the rainforests of Sumeru, Mirasol and her mother were looking for a place to take shelter for the night when a group of bandits suddenly swarmed them.

Mirasol tried to fight back the criminals, but her body had grown frail due to the prolonged malnourishment, so she was no match to the relatively healthy bandits.

She was knocked out cold, while her mother pleaded for her to wake up as she was being taken away by the group.

Unconsciousness had sent her to a sanctum of pure white. Confused, she trotted through the fog trying to figure out what place she was in at the moment.

Was this a dream? Was she in heaven right now? Was she truly killed trying to protect what she loved the most?

Before she can process her thoughts, a silhouette of a middle-aged man appeared before her. As she got closer, it became clear who he was.

“D-dad?”

In pure shock and jubilance, Mirasol began to walk closer to her father, but he started walking away as if he never remembered he even had a daughter.

To catch up with him, she began to run faster, but he seemed to match her speed. She then pushed the extra mile to reach him by the shoulder, but that ended up bringing her consciousness back to the rainy forest.

In tears and in the descended red mist, Mirasol headed for the bandits’ camp using their footprints, seeking not only her mother, but also their blood.

Arriving at the camp, the bandits were confused by the shadowy figure of a small girl appearing in front of them. And before they knew it, they were attacked by vines.

All her anguish was unleashed on the helpless bandits, causing them to cower in fear. The angry Mira then grabbed a bandit begging for mercy, and when she was about to make him bite the dust, she saw her mortified mother.

Doubt then enters her mind. Mirasol, being a descendant of a disgraced Aristocrat, had sworn not to take revenge in any shape or form. It was one of her family’s core values.

In realization of this, she let the bandit go, but without warning her to never cross paths with her again.

Mira then checked up on her mother, assuring that she was not hurt during the excursion. She was astounded by her sudden change of heart when she noticed a leafy green glow in her daughter’s bag.

When Mira checked it out, their ancestor’s Masterless Vision, which they had carried with them the entire time, was reawakened.

The show of mercy seemed to have earned her respect from the gods.

Joseph About Mirasol: Sympathy

Mira, huh? Well, as you can see, she's my adoptive sister. We were under Auntie Lisa's umbrella for a while, so as the elder of the pair, I was tasked to take care of her in her absence. *sigh* I still couldn't believe what she looked like when she stepped into our residence for the first time; a far cry from today, let me tell you. But, it goes to show how much hard work Auntie and I put out to make sure she recovers. I feel sorry for her, having experienced a similar tragedy myself, but as you know, the past is in the past. There is no point dwelling on it in the present. *chuckles* I guess we do have something we agree with after all...

About Mirasol: Siblings

My duty as an elder brother to protect Mira still stands to this day. Though we've been separate for longer than we've been together, I still have that obligation weighing on my shoulders...and when she intended to go to the Mare Jivari, I knew I had to be there. Otherwise, Auntie wouldn't have forgiven me. Regardless, I'm glad that everything went well in the end. We managed to retrieve Uncle Alejandro and brought him back to Mondstadt. Sure, we got an earful from Auntie, but you know...it's harder to explain when she sees her apprentice beaten up and wounded, don't you think? *chuckles* You could say that I've fulfilled my duty as her elder brother, but I believe that this is a life-long commitment. No matter what path she will take from now on, rest assured that I will be by her side.

Joanne About "Lumière du Soleil"

Oh, Lumière du Soleil. She's quite a talker, to put it lightly. She may be borderline annoying, but not when it keeps me interested to know more about her. I actually had known her from L'aigle, and from the first letter she sent, that's when I know she was someone I trust. Now that I think about it, I never knew her name until now. L'aigle made her pen name, not me, and he never revealed her name to me for whatever reason...Parmi les Étoiles, do you know who I am referring to? Hm? Her name is "Mirasol?" Ah, got it.

Marisol About Mirasol: Nostalgia

Ah, mi prima! Yes, I remember my cousin! I've been by her side ever since I met her. As her senior, I had to protect her from being bullied by the spoiled brats those relatives of mine raised, and I even accompanied her in her playtime. She's super curious about everything, from Sumeru Akademiya material to flowers! Tio Alejandro and Tia Rosa always thanked me for that, but they didn't have to; it's just a duty as her cousin to be safe from those brats. She's such a joy to be around, that is why I feel sad when they had to leave. Ah...if only we can relive those days.

About Mirasol: Concern

Since Tio Alejandro disappeared, I haven't heard of anything from Tia Rosa or Mira, even to this day. It's been ten years since the incident, but I still wonder..."Are they okay? Have they been living a good life after all that happened...?" Whatever the case, I still wish them the best. I've been hearing rumors that she joined the Knights of Favonius and she's now an apprentice of the Librarian there, but I don't know if she's that type of person to join the Knights...Ah, I shouldn't think of this too much for now.

Iréne About MirasolThe little sunshine that often follows around the librarian? I admit she is charming. Though, if she grows up after spending her time around Lisa, does that mean her personality will? I refuse to imagine the rest.
Anya About MirasolMiss Mirasol is so pretty! She's so, so, so nice! Once, she stopped by the Cathedral and gave me a bag of peanuts! I feel bad for her though, after what happened to her parents... I could give her a personally, from the heart therapy! No dads needed, I can chat with her myself!
Adelisa About MirasolThe Sunflower witch, right? Yeah I've heard of her. I mean, who in Mondstadt hasn't? Though in my case, I believe I've met her before in one of the Hexenzirkel expeditions... hm... can't say for sure though, but there certainly was a bright Sunflower themed witch amongst us years ago.... hm... did I talk to her?.... hm... I'm always too preoccupied with my own things to pay attention to the details. I bet she's pleasant to converse with though...
Aquila About Mirasol...She's as warm as the sun, I like her energy.
Ilyni About MirasolI would love to meet Knight Mirasol! I haven’t had the honor to greet just yet, but hearing the town speak so highly of a bright attendant makes me feel like I’ve already met her. I hope I could learn to preserve a flower’s life from her, one day.
Cerelia About MirasolMirasol? What do I have to say about her? Well, she is very nice, she helps me with the books in the Library, and she makes a good pumpkin cake.
Misha Mei About MirasolThe sunflower sweetheart! Mirasol and I met in more unprecedented matters. Through both our connections to the opera house’s star, Yun Jin, it was quite an unusual meeting. But I frankly don’t mind. Mirasol is, to put it simply, a burst of real sunshine. I enjoy her company very much, and I do like sending her materials of the best quality for her magic practices. She’s quite a powerful witch, and I’m sure her master can see that as well. One time, she grew an entire patch of flowers for me in my garden before heading back to Mondstadt. I still take care of them to this day.
Zhaofeng About MirasolAh, the sunflower girl who visits the shrine often with that Qixing wench. I’d be lying if I said she wasn’t pretty cute. What? Why are you looking at me like that? Am I not allowed to say someone looks particularly attractive? Ugh, I’m being nice, you should be happy.
Serene About MirasolHuh? The Acting Librarian girl from Mondstadt..? I forgot her title, sorry.. She's seem like someone who's very nice.. perhaps a little bit too nice.....
Cecile About MirasolOh, you know Mirasol? That’s fantastic! Did you know she did a show with me once back when we first came to Mondstadt? She’s quite the natural-born performer if I do say so myself. You should really see her in action. It’s spectacular!

Amber ・About Mirasol

Ah, Mira! She’s quite a talker, isn’t she? She could go on talking for hours without me getting bored for a second. Also, I helped her get along with Eula while she helped me in tracking people with her Elemental Sight. She’s an asset to the Knights, but it’s too bad she’s away most of the time.

Lisa ・About Mirasol: ApprenticeMira? Oh, you mean my dear apprentice? Well, in many ways, she's my polar opposite, at least in people's eyes. She's merciful, while I was cruel; calming, while I was terrifying; idealistic, while I'm pragmatistic. But when you take a closer look, she's more like me than people thought. I guess that's what naturally happens when you're an apprentice of mine...like you, cutie. *giggles*
・About Mirasol: Motherly Love The events that happened to Mira is not something any child should experience ever. Losing her home is bad enough, but losing her mother is the cruelest possible twist of fortune she could have experienced. This is why I took care of her in Rosa's place. Oh, how do I know Rosa, you may ask? Well, that's a story for another time. Anyway, for her sake, I will take care of her child on her behalf. I love her as much as she loves her.
Kaeya ・About Mirasol

Ah, the renowned apprentice of Lisa. She’s almost the same in personality as her master. The only difference I can think of is that Mira uses nature, while Lisa uses lightning, and Mira hates alcohol. The last one is just a shame; she’s missing out on a lot, that sunflower. I’ll try convincing her to taste the delectable flavor of alcohol later.

Jean ・About MirasolAh, Mirasol. She's as lively as the flower that shares her name. It takes a very intelligent person to be Lisa's apprentice, but she managed to be one, which I applaud her for. I am just worried about what kind of lessons she's teaching her considering her.......history, shall we say?
Klee ・About Mirasol

Mira is the best! She often plays with me when Big Brother and Mona aren’t around, and she’s as lively as I am. It’s as if she’s my big sister! Yes, I remember now! I call her Big Sis Mira!

Diluc ・About MirasolConsidering she's the Librarian's apprentice, I worry that she would waste her talents, just like her master. But, from what I heard, Mira proves to be dependable.......by the Knight's standards, at least. As a bonus, she hates alcohol as much as I do, so I relate to her more than my own brother.
Eula ・About MirasolUgh, don't get me started with Mira. Lisa must've told stories about my clan every day because she's more annoying than her master ever is. And her happy-go-lucky demeanor makes everything worse. Seeing her smiling face makes my blood boil! But to give her credit, she did help me on several occasions, so I shouldn't be too harsh on her. Either way, she must pay for what she has done.
Diona ・About MirasolAha, Mira has my full approval! When she orders a drink, which contains no wine, by the way, I use the best ingredients that I have at my disposal. I mean, she mostly orders our specialty, the Fantastic Summer-Serendipity Coral Sparkling Tea, but she mixes things up every now and then. Also, she’s such a social butterfly! So much so that I wanna talk about my problems to her! Mirasol is giving me the little hope I have in Mondstadt, and that we can have a wine-free society. Ahh.
Noelle ・About MirasolMira is such a fun person to talk to, and a smart one too. I don't know how she does it, but she manages to extend our conversations to hours on end. She's so good at it that I almost forgot about my maidly duties. Not that I blame her for it, she figures that I need a break anyway. She seems so happy every time I talk to her too, but I got to ask. Why does she have a Dendro vision instead of a Pyro vision? Is she in the same situation as I do?
Mona ・About MirasolAh, the Sunflower Witch herself, Mirasol Adeline von Schöngarten. She has personified the flower that bears her name, and it was reflected by her constellation, Helianthus. From what I know, the sunflower represents good luck and lasting happiness. A happy-go-lucky girl with seemingly zero care about the world and her talent in Dendromancy hasn’t wasted one-bit thanks to her recruitment to the Knights. *sighs* Considering she travels most of the time, she must have some Mora on her hands…I should ask her about earning some.
Barbara ・About MirasolMirasol’s one of my biggest fans! Not the Barbara Fan Club kind of big, just the passionate, caring kind of big. She once helped me clear out a commotion of fans and I once was disappointed at her for doing that, but with you doing the same thing at Cat’s Tail, I am starting to understand where Mira was coming from. I did know her before then through Big Sister, and she’s a blast to talk to! Her traveling through distant lands made me miss her very much, but I’m sure she’ll give me a treat once she comes back!
Rosaria ・About MirasolShe’s quite a happy one, that’s for certain, but I wonder if she’s hiding something under that smiling façade. And that she frequently travels, alone for the most part, makes that feeling stronger. Perhaps she’s looking for something that even she doesn’t have the confidence to say…

Albedo ・About MirasolMirasol? Ah, the lone sunflower in the beautiful garden. I’ve heard that her Dendro abilities are stellar and prove to be as reliable and intelligent as her master, Lisa. Given her knowledge of Alchemy, I could invite her to my hideout and discuss things. But from what I have heard, she cannot survive cold temperatures without getting sick. *sighs* Flowers like her really can’t survive winter.
Razor ・About MirasolSunflower girl smells nice. Also, purple teacher’s student. Always smiling. Just as strong and scary. Maybe, more so.
Yun Jin ・About MirasolOh, so you do know about the Sunflower Witch, Mirasol? Cecile informed me about her when her circus went on tour throughout Teyvat and suggested her for an extra in a particular opera I will perform. Coincidentally, she visited Liyue to attend one of my performances and approached me to show her admiration for me. It was frankly quite flattering. I gave her an offer to work with me, and she agreed, and the performance was well-received by all in the audience. For her hard work, I commissioned a local parasolmacher to make a custom umbrella for her to use since her old one does not fit her in my taste, and let’s just say…she loves it. She practically uses that umbrella every day now. Hehe.
Yanfei ・About MirasolI don’t know if you agree but Mirasol’s essentially a Mondstadter version of me when you only take personality into account. She’s quite a loquacious woman, is she not? She would hold a conversation for hours at a time, and I just turned the hours into half a day! All while having a lot of work to do! *sigh* I enjoy her company when it doesn’t drag too long, but she’s a huge distraction when it did. But she makes up for it by helping me solve legal problems involving alchemy, so I don’t mind her too much. But still, when I try to take a case seriously and Mira happens to be there, I’ll try to refrain from talking to her for a while. I hope she understands.
Tighnari ・About Mirasol: Rivalry?Ah yes, my former classmate. How was she nowadays? Well, to begin, Mirasol's quite a character. A lively, extroverted girl as bright as the flower she was named after. People described her as my rival, but I don't really see her that way. We're just two friends who happen to be in contention of the title of the "smartest student of the Amurta." We always had mutual respect to each other, and we often get help from each other. I was proud when she graduated as a Herbad, but I was a little surprised when she suddenly left. I still don't know what happened there. Well, an apple does not fall far from the tree, it seems...
・About Mirasol: Pen PalsAfter she left Sumeru, me and Mira are still in close contact...well, not really close, per se. We just wrote a lot of letters to each other. Aside from that, she does visit Gandharva Ville from time to time, asking me about where she can buy flowers around here, which I often obliged. Oh and also, I once trained her in combat when we were still classmates. Oh, nothing much. Just some basic sparring and projectile evasion training; standard Ranger stuff. It's been a while since the last time she sent me a letter, so uhm...do you know her current whereabouts? No? *sigh* Well, time to wait for a little longer.

Other Appearances[]

Mirasol is a major character in Wind Nurtures Nature, Nature Nurtures Wind, which took place more than a year before the Traveler's arrival in Mondstadt.

Mirasol, along with Misha Mei, found a wounded Brisa near Wangshu Inn when she collapsed due to sustained bleeding. She then took care of Brisa in the inn for several weeks. She then offered for Brisa to stay with her in Mondstadt after careful deliberation and a consultation with Misha, which Brisa agrees.

Trivia[]

  • Mirasol's birthday, September 23, is the date of the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, which is when the last of the sunflowers bloom and the beginning of pumpkin harvest season (which is a component of her signature dish), although the date varies slightly from year to year, from September 21 to 23.
  • Mirasol is the current owner of the sought-after first edition of the Encyclopedia of Flowers, as a birthday gift from her master Lisa.
  • Mirasol was meant to give her hand-made Pumpkin Pie (Armonía de Flores) to her master, but she did not realize she hates pumpkins, as she found out later on.
  • Mirasol enjoys listening to music and dancing to it under the sun's shade in some occassions, in line with actual sunflowers "dancing" under the sun during daytime.
  • According to some members of the Fanon, Mirasol bears some physical similarities to Ophir, explaining some characters' confusion about their ancestry.
  • Mirasol is known by these aliases or titles:
    • Mira (shortened form of Mirasol, by many people, notably Joseph)
    • Beloved Mimi (by her parents, Alejandro Cristobal and Rosa)
    • Assistant Schöngarten (by library patrons and Noelle, though Mirasol preferred the latter to call her Mira in private situations)
    • Little Lisa of the Amurta (title in the Akademiya)
    • Miss Schön-Schön (by Paimon)
    • Big Sis Mira (by Klee)
    • Dear/Apprentice (by Lisa and Alice)
    • Mi Prima (by Marisol)
    • Kuihua (Chinese: 葵花 Kuíhuā) (by Misha Mei and Yun Jin)
    • Himawari (Japanese: 向日葵ひまわり) (nickname in Inazuma)
    • Sunflower Cutie (by Zhaofeng)
    • Lumière du Soleil (pen name when writing letters with Fleurs dans le Vent)

Etymology[]

  • "Mirasol" is a Spanish/Filipino translation for sunflower, though this is not the only spelling for the word. Other spellings of the word include "girasol" and "hirasol".
    • Her shortened name, "Mira," has many different meanings for different languages, like Latin, Greek, Spanish, Sanskrit, Arabic and Eastern European languages. In the context of Mirasol's character and etymology, "Mira" means "to look." As "sol" means "sun," Mirasol could be read as "to look at the sun." Due to this, it is used as a pun in the Spanish translation for A Sunflower Shall Face the Sun (El Girasol Siempre Mirará al Sol, mirará al sol literally meaning "look at the sun")
  • Her constellation, Helianthus, is a Latin word for sunflower with Greek origins. It is a combination of "ἥλῐος" (hḗlios, lit. “sun”) and "ανθός" (anthós, lit. "flower")
  • Her surname, von Schöngarten, is a German surname meaning "of a beautiful garden", meaning her full name means "sunflower of a beautiful garden." This is in line with her mother, Rosa von Schöngarten, which means "rose of the beautiful garden."
    • Interestingly, there is a 3-star hotel that shares the name in Lindau, Germany called Hotel Schöngarten, named after the street it was connected to (Schöngartenstraße).
