Lunar-Swirl is the Elemental Reaction triggered by inflicting Anemo on a target that is already affected by Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo, or vice versa. After triggering a Lunar-Swirl reaction with a character with Moonsign Benediction talent in the party, a whirlwind will appear that absorbs the non-Anemo Element that triggered Lunar-Swirl, that continuously deals the absorbed Element to enemies within it, and other nearby enemies.
When Lunar-Swirl is retriggered with the same Element that it was previously, it will extend that specific whirlwind's duration. If it is triggered with a different Element, the previous whirlwind will dissappear after a small delay, and a new one will be formed with the new absorbed Element.
Damage[]
The Elemental Mastery Bonus for Lunar-Swirl is as follows:
The DMG calculation of Lunar-Swirl DMG triggered by applying Anemo and Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo is done in two steps:
1. An individual calculation is performed for all characters who are applying/applied Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo onto an opponent, and also the characters who applied/is applying Anemo[1] to trigger the reaction, that contribute to the reaction:
2. The individual DMG values are then ranked from highest to lowest, and combined into the final DMG value as follows:
Once triggered, the Lunar-Swirl reaction deals DMG once every 1.5 seconds for 4.5 seconds to enemies when any kind of the four Lunar-Swirl reaction is triggerd. When reactivated, the 4.5 second duration is refreshed. It's DMG type is decided by which element Anemo reacts with to trigger Lunar-Swirl.
Additionally, whether the final Lunar-Swirl DMG is considered a CRIT hit is determined by whether the highest individual DMG was a CRIT Hit.
Direct Lunar-Swirl[]
The DMG calculation of Lunar-Swirl DMG dealt directly by a character without triggering a reaction is as follows:
Note that direct Lunar-Swirl ignores all DEF on opponents, and strictly scales off of both ATK and Elemental Mastery.
When dealing direct Lunar-Swirl DMG, it will deal the same Elemental Type of DMG equal to that of the current whirlwind created by Lunar-Swirl. If no whirlwind created by Lunar-Swirl exists, or under certain unique means[2], direct Lunar-Swirl DMG deals Anemo DMG instead.[3]

Refrences[]
- ↑ Seeing as only the Anemo Hypostasis can be prematurely applied with Anemo, most if not all situations will assume a character applies Anemo to trigger Lunar-Swirl.
- ↑ Anuri and Spinneybird deal direct Anemo Lunar-Swirl DMG with certain attacks, making them unique units who deal Lunar-Swirl DMG in this way.
- ↑ Direct Lunar-Swirl DMG dealt by Aothur's cosmic rift is considered separate from the independent Anemo DMG dealt by Aothur’s infused attacks.
